Description:
Gaye LeBaron, newspaper columnist for The Press Democrat, has written over 8,000 columns. Each column chronicles the history and local issues of the region and demonstrates her extraordinary skills as a journalist, historian, and storyteller. In 2001, she donated her vast collection of research files to the Library. Materials include research notes, correspondence, monographs, local documents, photographs, maps, newspaper clippings, journal issues, ephemera and reprints of her Sunday columns. As of 2007, Gaye LeBaron continues to write as a senior columnist.
