The San Diego Junior Chamber of Commerce had its beginnings in the late 1920s. The official incorporation took place in 1934. The purpose of the organization is to provide a link between the business establishment and the community in which it operates. This is accomplished by a variety of public service projects. The collection consists of records, some of which date from the 1930s, and the balance from the late 1960s onward. The collection is organized in segments dealing with membership, meetings and recruitment, chapter organization and procedures, general office files, and financial and fiscal matters.
