Description:
Gerald C. Thomas was born in 1897 in Toronto, Canada. He attended Stanford University, was an attorney in San Diego in the 1930's, then served as a superior court judge in San Diego County during the 1940's and 1950's. He was an active member of the community, serving as a volunteer for the Community Chest Committee of San Diego, the Volunteer Bureau, and the Cuyamaca Club. The collection consists of incoming correspondence and postcards to Thomas from 1935-1961, personal ephemera (including such items as the judge's address book, personal notes, business card file, and mementos) and photographs.
