Description:
Evelyn Lockman, 1910-1991, was professor of dance at San Diego State University from 1948-1977, and was instrumental in establishing the dance major at SDSU. Lockman was an internationally known dancer, who received awards for her performances and promoted dance arts. The collection includes correspondence, SDSU dance programs, scrapbooks, research and professional writings, class teaching material, photographs, and newspaper clippings.
