Description:
The TOMO Foundation in Illinois gathered this collection of documents by and about Japanese-Americans during World War II. The collection contains newsletters, reports, and photographs predominantly from various relocation centers in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Wyoming, and Utah, as well as from unidentified centers. Most of these documents were written from the Japanese-American perspective. The photographs were taken by employees of the War Relocation Authority (WRA). WRA reports are included also, as well as the 1942 National Defense Migration report.
